In this paper, numerical solutions to assess partially plastic and fully plastic deformation behavior of a functionally graded spherical pressure vessel are presented. The modulus of elasticity of the material is assumed to vary nonlinearly in the radial direction and axisymmetric displacements and stresses in the functionally graded spherical vessel subjected to thermal loading and uniform internal pressure are determined using plasticity theory. Tresca??s yield criterion and its associated flow rule are used to formulate different plastic regions for an ideal FG material. In this way, the material property varies by Young??s modulus that may be an arbitrary function of the radial coordinate. Therefore, the material is assumed to be functionally graded in the radial direction. Hence, the general analytical solutions of such equations are not available, the numerical method (semi-analytical) is applied and a new collection of equilibrium equations with small deflections is presented. Accordingly, the radial domain is divided into some virtual sub-domains in which the power-law distribution is used for the thermomechanical properties of the elemental components. By considering the necessary continuity conditions between adjacent sub-domains, jointly with the global boundary conditions, a set of linear differential equations is obtained. Solution of the linear differential equations yields the thermoelastic responses for each sub-domain as exponential functions of the radial coordinate. Subsequently, attributed to centrifugal force, results for the stress, strain, and displacement components along the radius in elastic and plastic area are presented.  相似文献

In this contribution we presented a navel and simple optical technique for determination of tokamak plasma column displacement. Three-dimensional (3D) shape reconstruction is a fundamental problem in machine vision applications. Shape From Focus (SFF) is one of the passive optical methods for 3D shape recovery that uses degree of focus as a cue to estimate 3D shape. In this approach, usually a single focus measure operator is applied to measure the focus quality of each pixel in the image sequence. However, the applicability of a single focus measure is limited to estimate accurately the depth map for diverse type of real objects. To address this problem, we develop Optimal Composite Depth (OCD) function through genetic programming (GP) for accurate depth estimation. The OCD function is constructed by optimally combining the primary information extracted using one/or more focus measures. The genetically developed composite function is then used to compute the optimal depth map of objects. The performance of the developed nonlinear function is investigated using both the synthetic and the real world image sequences. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed estimator is more useful in computing accurate depth maps as compared to the existing SFF methods. Moreover, it is found that the heterogeneous function is more effective than homogeneous function.  相似文献

In this study, we devised a new concept for the precise nanofabrication of Au-Si fibrous nanostructures using megahertz femtosecond laser irradiation in air and atmospheric pressure conditions. The weblike fibrous nanostructures of Au thin layer on silicon substrate, which are proposed for the application of solar cells, exhibit a specific improvement of the optical properties in visible wavelength. Varying numbers of laser interaction pulses were used to control the synthesis of the nanofibrous structures. Electron microscopy analysis revealed that the nanostructures are formed due to the aggregation of polycrystalline nanoparticles of the respective constituent materials with diameters varying between 30 and 90 nm. Measurement of the reflectance through a spectroradiometer showed that the coupling of incident electromagnetic irradiation was greatly improved over the broadband wavelength range. Lower reflectance intensity was obtained with a higher number of laser pulses due to the bulk of gold nanoparticles being agglomerated by the mechanism of fusion. This forms interweaving fibrous nanostructures which reveal a certain degree of assembly.

This study highlights the effect of membrane action in improving load carrying capacity of Profiled Steel Sheeting Dry Board (PSSDB) floor system. PSSDB system is a lightweight composite structural system composed of profiled steel sheeting and dry board, attached together by self-drilling and self-tapping screws. Many literatures have reported that restricting conventional slabs, such as reinforced concrete slab, at the supports against translation and/or rotation while it is subjected to vertical loading develops the compressive membrane action in the slab. The development of this phenomenon is considered in the PSSDB system with concrete infill for continuous and practical spans, with and without topping concrete. Previous authors’ experimentally verified non-linear finite element model for the PSSDB floor without topping was extended to parametrically predict the effect of different boundary conditions on the performance of the system for practical applications. It was revealed that preventing the in-plane movement of the slab ends improves the flexural rigidities of the slab up to more than three times when considering central deflection of serviceability limit state. This was observed when the deflection limit load of the fixed both end supports model was compared to the pin-roller support model. Moreover, the topping concrete enhances the applicability of the system in longer span and the developed compressive membrane action dramatically boosts the load carrying capacity of the slab with restricted translation and/or rotation of the slab ends.  相似文献

This paper presents experimental and numerical study of airflow distribution around a reduced-scale model of a common type of domed-roof building. Measurements are performed in an open loop wind tunnel. A new modified Counihan scheme is developed for constructing a part-depth atmospheric boundary layer (ABL). Measured quantities include: wind velocity profile, turbulence intensity and airflow pattern around the building. To conduct the experiments, a 1:54 scale model of a real domed-roof building with six windows and an aperture on the roof is fabricated and placed in the test section of the wind tunnel. In addition, using a numerical modeling, turbulent airflow around such scale model in the wind tunnel is simulated and airflow field inside and outside the model as well as ventilating discharge coefficient are computed. It is illustrated that, airflow around this type of building contains complex adjacent recirculation flows. The building with open apertures has acceptable discharge coefficient for ventilation, which can be a factor to ensure comfort condition for residents as well as complying with energy-saving considerations.  相似文献

Cobalt sulfide (CoS2) is considered one of the most promising alternative anode materials for high‐performance lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) by virtue of its remarkable electrical conductivity, high theoretical capacity, and low cost. However, it suffers from a poor cycling stability and low rate capability because of its volume expansion and dissolution of the polysulfide intermediates in the organic electrolytes during the battery charge/discharge process. In this study, a novel porous carbon/CoS2 composite is prepared by using nano metal–organic framework (MOF) templates for high‐preformance LIBs. The as‐made ultrasmall CoS2 (15 nm) nanoparticles in N‐rich carbon exhibit promising lithium storage properties with negligible loss of capacity at high charge/discharge rate. At a current density of 100 mA g?1, a capacity of 560 mA h g?1 is maintained after 50 cycles. Even at a current density as high as 2500 mA g?1, a reversible capacity of 410 mA h g?1 is obtained. The excellent and highly stable battery performance should be attributed to the synergism of the ultrasmall CoS2 particles and the thin N‐rich porous carbon shells derieved from nanosized MOF precusors.  相似文献
